Despite the high demand for pet-friendly homeless shelters, only a few shelters in Canada allow pets. However, pets are considered family for many. They provide us companionship, unconditional love, and non-judgemental support!
Because this bond is so powerful, a pet owner may decide to sleep on the streets rather than give up their pet.
